My name is Amanda Jane, sometimes i'm called panda, which is perfectly fine with me :]
I am 19 years young and hope to enjoy life to the fullest, although i must admit i worry an awful lot for someone with that type of view point on life.
I am new to the photography scene but am very interested in pursuing it as a possible career one day.
I am currently looking for some good photography books, classes, and equipment that are worth investing in. so if anyone has any suggestions i'd be eternally grateful.
I am currently in my first year of college, and am very busy this semester, so hopefully i can find at least a little down time to practice my chosen art.
Current Residence: Plano, tx

so i have a meeting with the art institutes this thursday. I am thinking about transfering to one of their colleges after i finish my associates degree at Collin. I'm both nervous and excited for it because the lady i am meeting with has asked me to bring a couple of photo's that i've taken recently to show her and i'm going to have to talk about why i'm interested in photography.
To tell the truth the reason i'm scared is because i really haven't been completely focused on photography until just recently and i'm afraid that she will pick up on that and refer me to another major or school.

so, i've been really busy with school work and i have to say that i'm rather proud of myself for keeping my grades up this semester, most A's with 1 B!!! but i've also come to realize that i'm in desperate need of some creative photo time. I took some random pics last night with my glowing headphones and one of my dogs lime green toys. it was pretty interesting, but i need more then that. If only i knew more people who would be willing to model for me! ps: they'd have to do it for free because i'm totally and completely broke right now.
